REC HALL C

8298 SW Lafayette Way

Discover the Hidden Gem of CHOA:

As a CHOA homeowner, you can access a historic community space! The “C” area Rec Hall at 8298 SW Lafayette Way was the original Charbonneau Country Club building. After the new clubhouse was built, this space was deeded to CHOA, providing a dedicated gathering spot for residents.

A Little History:

Charbonneau was envisioned as the perfect community by its 10 founding visionaries: Robert P. Booth, Dale Fischer, Walter F. Henningsen, Jr., James F. Miller, Paul F. Murphy, Gordon D. Orput, William E. Roberts, L. L. Stewart, Ray E. Vester, and Ralph E. Williams. They worked with top planners, architects, and engineers, led by Robert Odermatt of San Francisco, to bring this dream to life.

In 1972, the first homes were built along French Prairie, Lafayette Way, and Boones Bend, along with the “Red” 9-hole golf course. CHOA became the first HOA in Charbonneau, forming the heart of our vibrant neighborhood.
